What are the requirements for refractory brick masonry

Nowadays, refractory bricks are widely used in industrial kilns, and their excellent performance is widely used in various kiln parts. However, due to their different functions from other materials, there are also requirements for masonry. So, let's briefly understand the requirements for masonry of refractory bricks.

1. Refractory brick arches and arches must be symmetrically built from both sides of the arch feet towards the center. During construction, the large and small ends of the arch bricks cannot be inverted; Lock bricks should be inserted from the side into the arch. If it is not possible to insert them from the side at the end of the quick lock brick, 1-2 bricks on one side of the lock mouth can be processed first to make the upper and lower dimensions of the lock mouth equal. Then, lock bricks that match the size of the lock mouth should be inserted from above and both sides should be filled with steel plates; The dismantling of the arch must be carried out only after all the locking bricks have been tightened, the trench excavation and masonry at the arch foot have been completed, and the nuts of the skeleton hook have been tightened.

2. For the joints of refractory bricks that are not tightly built, thin steel plates should be inserted to plug them tightly. Especially for rotatable furnaces, inspection should be carried out every 1/4 turn, and the above measures should be taken to remedy the situation.

3. The position of expansion joints should be reserved for refractory brick masonry, avoiding the stress parts, furnace skeleton, and holes in the masonry. The expansion joints of the inner and outer layers of the masonry should not be interconnected, and the upper and lower layers should be staggered from each other.

4. The long edge of the non curved furnace bottom and upper layer of the channel bottom should be perpendicular to or at an angle to the flow direction of the furnace charge, metal, slag, or gas.

5. The circular furnace wall should be built with refractory bricks according to the centerline. When the centerline error and diameter error of the furnace shell meet the requirements of the furnace shape, the furnace shell can be used as the guide surface for masonry.

6. The circular furnace wall cannot have three layers or three ring double seams, and the double seams of the upper and lower layers and adjacent two rings cannot be in the same location.
