Magnesium refractory materials and magnesium refractory products. Magnesia refractory material refers to a refractory material that uses magnesite as the raw material and periclase as the main phase, with a MgO content of 80% -85% or more.

The characteristics of magnesia refractory materials are high refractoriness, high load softening temperature, generally reaching 1500-1650 ℃, but poor thermal shock stability. Magnesia refractory materials are generally divided into two categories: metallurgical magnesia sand and magnesia refractory products.

Magnesium refractory products have high thermal conductivity, which decreases with increasing temperature; It has good resistance to chemical erosion of alkaline culture residues containing magnesium oxide and calcium oxide. The types of magnesium refractory products include magnesium bricks, magnesium silica sand, magnesium aluminum bricks, magnesium calcium bricks, magnesium carbon bricks, etc.

1. Magnesia brick: The main product in alkaline refractory materials, with high fire resistance and good corrosion resistance to iron oxides, alkaline slag, and high calcium flux. Magnesia bricks can be divided into fired and unburned magnesia bricks. The firing temperature of fired magnesia bricks is generally 1550-1600 ℃, and that of high-purity products is 1750 ℃, some of which are even higher. Except for unburned magnesia bricks, other processes are generally the same as those of fired magnesia bricks.

2. Magnesium silicate bricks, mainly composed of periclase as the main mineral and combined with magnesium olivine as the matrix, have similar properties to magnesium bricks, but with high load softening temperature and good slag resistance.

3. Magnesia alumina brick is a product made by using calcined magnesia as the main raw material, adding industrial aluminum oxide powder, and using sulfite pulp waste liquid as a binder. It is fired at 1580 ℃. Compared with magnesia alumina brick, it has better resistance to rapid freezing and heating, which is the characteristic of magnesia alumina brick.

4. Magnesium calcium bricks are mainly composed of magnesite as the main mineral, with tricalcium silicate and dicalcium silicate as the combination. Apart from poor thermal shock stability, their other performance indicators are relatively high.

5. Magnesia carbon conversion is mainly made from wrapped magnesia sand and carbon materials, and is pressed with various carbon binders. It has the characteristics of corrosion resistance and peeling resistance.
